John H. Higgins is a clinical informatics consultant and the founder of clinformatics.net.  John is currently employed as the Surgical Data Center Manager at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where he works with surgical teams to  measure, assess, and improve surgical outcomes.

John earned his masters degree in exercise physiology at the college of health at the University of Utah.  His primary skill set is in informatics and applied computer science for health care delivery systems.

John's core competency and expertise lies in relational database design and architechture as well as information system modeling.  His primary tools are Microsoft SQL Server, ADO (Active X Data Objects) Visual Studio .net , and  ASP.  John is a self taught programmer that has mastered generations of programming technologies including Turbo Pascal, DBASE, Jet SQL, TSQL, C++, Visual Basic, C#, Java Script , ASP.NET,  SSIS, SSRS, DTS, and XML.
